Who We Are

Exodus A new way to experience Bhutan

A small Bhutanese team with one aim: to share our home the way we know it.

About Exodus Himalaya Tours

Exodus Himalaya Tours is a Bhutan-focused travel company based in Changjalu, Thimphu. We plan private cultural tours, festival journeys and treks around your dates, interests and preferred pace. Our licence number is 50002194.

A route built around you

Tell us how much time you have, the places you want to see and how active you want each day to be. We shape the route around those choices, balancing sightseeing, road journeys and time to rest.

Start with our five-day Paro and Thimphu tour, seven-day western Bhutan circuit or ten-day journey to central Bhutan. Festival visits and trekking routes need extra planning around dates, local access and your walking experience.

Clear planning before you book

We provide a written itinerary and quote before you confirm your booking. It sets out the route, accommodation, activities, inclusions and charges. Government fees and applicable taxes are identified so you can see what is included in the total and what is payable separately.

Respect for places and people

Bhutan’s temples and monasteries are living places of worship. We plan visits around local access, follow guidance on dress and photography, and arrange experiences with local hosts by agreement. Private ceremonies and community visits depend on permission and availability.

Our Story

Why We Began

Travel that feels personal, not packaged

Exodus Himalaya Tours is a newly founded travel company dedicated entirely to the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Licence No. 50002194

We started with a simple belief: the best way to experience Bhutan is slowly, privately and in the company of people who live here. So every journey we create is designed from scratch around the traveller — their pace, their interests and the moments they hope to find.

From the first message to your final farewell at Paro, you'll deal directly with the people planning and guiding your trip. No call centres, no fixed group coaches — just a small team who care about getting the details right.

  • PersonalEvery trip private and designed around you
  • RespectfulMindful of sacred sites, communities and nature
  • UnhurriedTime to linger, talk and truly see

How We Work

Four Steps

From first idea to Paro arrivals

  1. Tell us

Share your dates, interests and travel style — as much or as little as you know.

  2. We design

After reviewing your enquiry, you'll receive ideas and a draft day-by-day itinerary with a clear price.

  3. Refine together

Swap hotels, add a festival or slow the pace until the plan feels exactly right.

  4. Travel with us

We arrange your visa and permits, then meet you at Paro with your own guide and driver.

Responsible Travel

Our Promise

High value, low impact — the Bhutanese way

  • Local guides

Every journey is led by licensed Bhutanese guides who know these valleys first-hand.

  • Family-run stays

Where we can, we choose locally owned hotels, farmhouses and lodges.

  • Small & private

Private trips and small groups mean a lighter footprint and warmer welcomes.

  • Respect for the sacred

We brief every guest on temple etiquette, dress and photography before they arrive.
